From one mama to another
"When I had my son, I was a new mom and incredibly overwhelmed. I felt like I couldn't do anything right, and I felt like every decision I made for my son was second-guessed. When I went to my first lactation appointment with Becky, I was afraid Becky would confirm all the statements I was thinking inside my head: " You're not doing this right," and more.
Â
Instead, I found an encouraging uplifting friend who made me feel so confident as a mom. She was full of love when I needed it most. Because of my experience with her, she was the first person I turned to after my daughter was born and we were having latching issues. Again, I felt reassured, appreciated, and noticed.

Working with Becky is the experience every mom needs. She is the only lactation consultant I recommend, and she is the only one I would go to. You will not be disappointed."

"Becky has helped me breastfeed 6 babies now, some of which were quite complicated! She is such a calming presence and really takes the time to get to know what you want and need.
Â
She walked me through horrifying latches, tandem feeding, nursing during pregnancy, pumping, oversupply, slow milk coming in, and weaning. I can't recommend or thank her enough!"

"Becky supported me on my breastfeeding journeys with both of my daughters. She cheered me on through every step of reaching a breastfeeding goal or parenting milestone while always assuring me that my questions and concerns were valid. She has a heart of gold and truly cares about her breastfeeding mamas, babies, and families.
With Becky on my team, I felt confident, supported, and educated with pumping and breastfeeding. She has become a wonderful friend who loves my kiddos. Setting up a prenatal consult with Becky is my best advice for expecting families - I can’t recommend her enough!"

"I saw Becky a few days postpartum with my one and only baby. I was so nervous and new to everything and she made me feel so at ease and taken care of. I was struggling with breastfeeding - baby's latch was off and tearing up my nipples, my milk had come in but wasn't coming out well, I was so exhausted because my baby wouldn't sleep because, as it turned out, even though he was sucking, milk wasn't getting to him.
We got to work - did weighted feeds, worked on the latch, healed my nipples, got my milk flowing. I am so incredibly thankful for Becky and her love and care during such a vulnerable time in life. I cannot recommend her enough and I owe my breastfeeding success all to her. Thank you, thank you, thank you, form the bottom of my heart."

"Where do I start when sharing how grateful we were for Becky’s lactation services? I met with Becky the weekend before giving birth to twin boys to learn how to use my breast pump and to get any initial guidance on breastfeeding twins. While still at the hospital, we were able to get an appointment scheduled for the day after we came home for our first visit with the twins to address latching and checking the boys' weights. From then on, we met with Becky once or twice a week until they were ten weeks old and a couple of times after that for weight updates or other questions.
Becky's advice and guidance were wonderful and we are not sure we could have continued to breastfeed without her. The boys both latched beautifully, and instead of it being a painful and difficult process: the three of us were able to enjoy the time we had to bond. We could not have made it in the breastfeeding twins' journey without “our Becky.”
Our family directly benefited from all of the time she spent working with us, encouraging us, and sharing her expertise and wisdom on breastfeeding, infant care, and so much more! I joked that we would just keep coming for our weekly Becky visits until the boys were five! It was tough being pregnant and then having two babies during a pandemic, as well as during the regular cold/flu season. Visits with people outside of our family were more limited than they typically would have been, which could have been even more isolating. Our visits with Becky were the highlight of many weeks! I can’t say enough how grateful both my husband and I were that this service was offered to the Jeff City community and encouraged new moms in mid-Mo to seek out the amazing Becky for her wisdom, kindness, and assistance! We certainly would not made it breastfeeding for 9.5 months without the assistance of our favorite Becky!"
